Local leagues in Minnesota

Local Leagues identify the issues of their community which then shape the priorities of League of Women Voters Minnesota 

LWV Minnesota is comprised of 42 local Leagues that are active across the state.  As a grassroots organization, our work starts at the local level and determines our statewide priorities.

Work of local Leagues include:
Educating Minnesotans on important public policy issues Providing election information to voters Hosting candidate debates for local elections Registering citizens, including our newest, to vote Reaching out to the community in projects including the Census Providing forums for citizen participation Creating transparency in government Encouraging women in leadership Creating community dialogues
