League of Women Voters Minnesota Partners with Department of Corrections and Others to Host Voter Registration Events for Recently Enfranchised People
The League of Women Voters Minnesota, in collaboration with the Department of Corrections, US Probation and Pretrial Services, and Dodge and Olmstead Community Corrections, is thrilled to announce a series of voter registration events across the state of Minnesota. These events aim to assist individuals with felony convictions who are now eligible to vote following recent changes in legislation.
As of June 1, 2023, the right to vote in Minnesota is no longer affected by a criminal record unless the individual is currently incarcerated. This means that individuals who are not incarcerated, including those on parole, can exercise their right to vote and participate in the democratic process.
League of Women Voters volunteers will be available at six designated locations from 10 am to 1 pm on July 7 to provide assistance and answer any questions that registrants may have.

Virtual Option: Registrants who prefer a virtual experience can join the event via Zoom from 10am to 1pm. A League of Women Voters staff person will be available to provide virtual assistance during the registration process.
