National Voter Registration Day 9/17/2024

 
 

For the first time, Minnesota will hold a live statewide virtual high school event featuring a step-by-step voter registration and preregistration (ages 16/17) session! Every high school - public and private, rural, suburban, and urban - is invited to join this groundbreaking celebration of youth voices, and civic engagement.

Join us for free resources and support to help students register and pre-register to vote. Our event also features a LIVE PROGRAM (broadcast at 2 different times and also recorded to play at a different time) to help kick off National Voter Registration Day, with an option to have them register at the same time!

Program

(30 minutes start to finish, in two 15-minute segments)

Segment 1

  • The power of youth voice in your community, state, and country

  • Secretary of State: Why it's so important to (pre)register now

  • Hear from students and teachers from around the state

Segment 2

  • Walk through on screen of the (pre)registration process

  • Eligible students register on their own phone, tablet, or computer

  • Students not yet eligible to (pre)register learns how to do it when they are.
