Friday, June 2

Optional Social Events:

• 12:30-3:00 pm ($10) — Meet at the Chamber of Commerce & Tourist Office for coffee and strudel, join a guided walking tour of the historic downtown area, and visit the Brown County Historical Society, which includes a special exhibit on the US - Dakota War of 1862.

• 3:00-4:00 pm (FREE) — Meet up at Riverside Park Environmental Learning Center for a special event to learn more about the LWV Upper Mississippi River Region, as well as the current status and needs of the Minnesota River. Receive a free copy of late LWV member Darby Nelson's wonderful book, For Love of a River: The Minnesota, and more!

Registration/Plenary 1: 

• 4:30pm to 6:30pm - Registration, pizza supper and happy hour, with a guest appearance from The Narren of New Ulm! 

• 6:30pm - Registration completed; Credentials Checked

• 6:35pm - Call to order; Credentials Report; Convention Rules Adopted; Final Agenda adopted

• 6:40pm - Welcome from LWV New Ulm and Indigenous Land Acknowledgment 

• 6:50pm - Recognize and thank current board and staff 

• 7:00pm - Report of Nominating Committee & Election of Officers

• 7:25pm - Bylaws Committee Report and Vote 

• 7:35pm - Presentation & Questions on FY 22-23 Financials and Budget for FY 24-25

• 8:00pm - Presentation of Program for Action/Non-recommended items

• 8:30pm - Adjourn 

• 8:35pm - Q&A for Budget & Program for Action Votes on Saturday; New board convenes

• Saturday, 8:00-9:00 am (FREE) — Join us in Best Western Schell's Room for German pastries, coffee and conversation with LWV ABC members Gretchen Sabel and Geri Nelson about how our members are working to improve our state's rivers, and the role of the LWV UMRR Inter-League Organization.
