Join or Die Film Screening

Why do we join things — and why does it matter for democracy?

Join LWV Minnesota for a free screening of Join or Die, an inspiring and uplifting documentary that explores the power of community, connection, and participation.

This award-winning documentary follows political scientist Robert Putnam (Bowling Alone) as he explores why joining groups—from book clubs to civic organizations—builds stronger communities and a stronger nation.

As we head into the holiday season, come be reminded that hope—and democracy—are strongest when we come together.

A Night to Celebrate 106 Years of the League—and the Women Who Started It All

We’re thrilled to announce a truly special way to honor our history and invest in our future.

Join us for Opening Night of Suffs the Musical, the Tony Award–winning Broadway sensation that brings to life the extraordinary women who fought for the right to vote and reshaped American democracy.

At a time when the foundations of our democracy are being tested, the League’s mission has never been more urgent. From fighting voter suppression to advancing civic education and mobilizing communities to vote, your participation in this event helps ensure that the fight for a more just and representative democracy continues.
