The presenter will be Karen Schaffer. Her bio follows:
Karen Schaffer was a public high school history and civics teacher and then had a longer career as a public sector attorney, serving in the General Counsel’s Office of the Metropolitan Council and as an Assistant Dakota County Attorney, retiring from the latter as First Assistant. She is a long-time member of LWV Roseville Area, serving in leadership and program over the decades. In 2012, she joined the Council of Metropolitan Area Leagues of Women Voters (CMAL) as a CMAL delegate, later serving as CMAL Chair from 2018 through 2025. She currently is as a member of the Board of Directors of LWV Minnesota. Though LWV remains her first avocation, she also enjoys being an election judge, gardening, reading, fishing and tap dancing.
