On June 3, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m., Secretary of State Steve Simon will visit Park Rapids, Minnesota.

The League of Women Voters Park Rapids Area will host an event at Northwoods Bank Community Room. (1200 First Street East) for his presentation.

During the visit, Secretary Simon will highlight the importance of strong voter turnout and Minnesota exceptionalism in the 2024 election voter turnout. He'll also discuss the potential risks posed by the proposed SAVE Act, which could introduce unnecessary barriers to voting. He is excited to introduce the Office's new Election Worker Appreciation program, designed to recognize and support the essential work of local officials and volunteers who help ensure Minnesota’s elections are free, fair, and secure. There will be time for questions and answers with Secretary Simon at the end.
