LWVMN Supports Voting Improvements at Press Conference

League members showed a strong presence at a press conference this morning by the Office of the Secretary of State. Secretary Simon outlined several policies his office would be supporting in the upcoming legislative session that align with LWV Minnesota's Legislative Priorities, including election administration and infrastructure improvements and funding, restoration of voting rights, and automatic voter registration. LWV Minnesota is excited to work on bipartisan consensus to support these issues.

LWV Minnesota President Martha Micks stated, "The League has been involved at the Capitol on these issues for some time. I'm seeing a new energy on democracy issues. I'm proud of the part that the League of Women Voters Minnesota has played, and will continue to play, in that process and our strong presence of League members here at the press conference today. We're also so glad to see the Minnesota Association of County Officers supporting the protection voter information and privacy during the presidential primary."
